The Brief
Design and develop both an iPad and iPhone App for Eco News using the existing RSS feed from the Eco News website.  The budget was tight so the solution also needs to extremely cost efficient. The client wanted the app to be cutting edge and earthy at the same time. The client also wanted to provide sponsorship and advertising opportunities within the app.

The Solution
I designed a simple flip page interface making the user experience similar to flipping through a newspaper.  Users can just flick through the pages and have a good overview of the day’s news.

Other features include the ability to search the news archive, intergrated advertising and more.

Technology Used
The apps were developed in Adobe Flash CS6 (Actionscript 3) and compiled to native iOS. This made for rapid and cost effective development and future apps can easily be cross compiled to Android and other mobile platforms.

Other software used includes Photoshop CS6 and Dreamweaver CS6.

I was responsible for every aspect from concept, design, through to the programming and coding.
